Flexible Skins

United Paint products have been designed to meet the diverse nature of this market segment. Products can be applied over any number of substrates: TPO, TPU, and Vinyl. These coatings are waterborne and can be gravure or spray applied on rolled goods to provide excellent thermoforming properties in both positive and negative forming processes.

Laser Etch

The laser etch product line consists of both One and Two component technologies. Each providing tremendous chemical resistance and control of light transmittance. This product line is available in both waterborne and solventborne versions.

Airbag Covers

United Paint has products to meet the diverse substrates utilized in this market. As the market moves from styrene butadiene based materials to olefinic, United can provide both one and two component material to meet OEM needs for appearance and scratch resistance.

Steering Wheels

United Paint offers In Mold Coatings (IMC) in both solvent and waterborne formulations. These coatings are proven to be compatible with current mold releases and foaming technologies. These products react in the tool to form an integral skin capable of imparting superior chemical resistance and unique tactile feel within rapid cycle time processes.

Axles

United Paint products are found on the majority of passenger vehicle axles today. Current coatings provide corrosion protection from Showroom to End of Life Vehicle (ELV). These coatings accommodate varied application processes and cure conditions. The waterborne Axle coatings are formulated to withstand high temperatures, underhood fluids and various corrosion specifications.

Blackout

United Paint has manufactured waterborne blackout coatings, as a Tier 1 supplier, for over twenty years. The current one component, air dry systems are applied to wheel wells, beneath rocker panels and behind grilles and are compatible with today's most highly cross-linked, acid-etch resistant clear coats. All systems are both zero VOC and HAPS free.

Fluid Delivery Lines

United Paint’s range of product provides protection against corrosion and abrasion in extreme environmental conditions, while remaining chrome free. These coatings are compatible with Galfan and electroplated zinc as well as serving as primer for Nylon finished tubes. All of these coatings are applied as an integral part of the continuous forming process.

Fuel System Componentry

United Paint supplies a zero VOC, waterborne, product that when applied to fuel tanks provides corrosion protection as well as means for ensuring the finished product meets the current PZEV initiative. United coatings are also found on fuel filler tubes where they provide corrosion protection and static energy dissipation.

Brake Systems

United Paint coatings are applied to both rotors and drums. These materials provide superior corrosion protection, are resistant to degradation from high heat and can accommodate both masked and unmasked applications. The products are available in both solvent and waterborne systems.

Fasteners

United Paint has both solvent and waterborne systems for fastener coatings. These coatings are designed to provide superior corrosion protection at low film builds, as well as the OEM prescribed values for torque and tension.
